Commercial Manager - Power & Renewables
Glasgow
£75-90k + car allowance & bonus
This leading international contractor is looking to add a Commercial Manager to its Scottish Power & Renewables team.
Supporting the commercial delivery of high voltage (HV) projects, with a focus on substations, switchgear installations, and cable works. The role involves cost control, contract administration, valuation, and project financial management to ensure cost-effective project execution, based from Glasgow.
Candidates must be electrically biased coupled with Substation, Grid Connection, Battery Storage, Oil & Gas orientated project experience and will ideally have background working for contractors, specialist subcontractors, or operators.
Candidates should have the following -
- 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying ideally coupled with a technical background as either Electrician/Instrumentation Technician (or similar) or Electrical Engineer but not wholly necessary
- 5+ years' experience in a similar capacity working on projects in-excess of £7M in electrical scope, preferably including substation experience
- Prior work placement experience would be advantageous
- Proficient in excel
- Knowledge of contract conditions and their applications
- Excellent Communication/Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent Record Keeping and Administration Skills
