Job description

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead international commercial expansion across the UK, Europe, and North America. This role focuses on driving adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies in sectors such as specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, energetic materials, and other process-intensive industries.


You will be responsible for opening new markets, securing new clients, and building recurring revenue streams through sales, licensing, and process services. This is a strategic growth role with direct visibility to senior leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and target companies in specialty chemicals, pharma, advanced manufacturing, and related sectors.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for continuous-processing solutions across multiple regions.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads, from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Own the full sales cycle: technical qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closure.
  • Engage with senior decision-makers and communicate the value of continuous processing (cost, sustainability, safety).
  • Provide market intelligence and help shape commercial strategy, pricing, and licensing models.
  • Represent the company at industry events and develop strategic partnerships.


Required Experience & Profile

  • Proven track record in B2B sales or business development within chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Experience selling technical, high-value capital equipment, licensing services, or process-engineering solutions.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing or process-engineering value chains.
  • Demonstrated success in opening new markets and managing international clients.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical propositions in clear business terms.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to travel internationally.


Desirable

  • Familiarity with continuous flow chemistry, reactor technology, or process engineering.
  • Existing network within chemical/pharma/manufacturing industries.
  • Experience in licensing technology or large-scale manufacturing contracts.
  • Interest in sustainability and green manufacturing solutions.
