Children’s Registered Manager – Birmingham

£55,000 | New 3-Bed Ofsted Registered Home | EBD


We’re recruiting an experienced Children’s Home Registered Manager to open and lead a brand-new 3-bed home for children with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a service from the ground up within an established organisation that has grown steadily and sustainably over the years.


What makes this role different?

For the first 6 months, you will not be actively managing the home. Instead, your focus will be on:

  • Preparing the home for Ofsted registration
  • Leading the full registration process
  • Recruiting and onboarding your staff team
  • Establishing routines, culture, and best practice ahead of opening
  • Working closely with senior leadership to ensure a smooth transition to operation

You’ll join an organisation that invests heavily in its leaders and ensures you’re set up for success through:

  • A Clinical Lead for therapeutic support and guidance
  • Dedicated Quality Assurance oversight
  • A hands-on and supportive Registered Individual
  • Operational guidance from an experienced Operations Manager
  • A network of other Registered Managers to collaborate and share best practice with


About you:

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Manager with:

  • A solid track record in EBD residential care
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to build a positive team culture
  • Excellent understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
  • Passion for providing high-quality, trauma-informed care
