Mechanical Design Engineer - Up to £51K salary + Benefits

Sheffield | Low Carbon Energy Infrastructure

A fast-growing UK low carbon energy company is looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of district heating and energy infrastructure projects across the UK.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career mechanical engineer to gain exposure to projects from feasibility through construction and into operation, working on real-world low carbon heat networks and energy centres.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting the design of hydronic systems and heat networks

• Hydraulic & thermal modelling

• Assisting with energy centre and plant room design

• Producing drawings, calculations and specifications

• Working closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams

• Supporting site activities during construction

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in Mechanical Building Services or Energy Engineering

• 1–3 years’ relevant design experience

• AutoCAD & Revit experience

• Knowledge of UK regulations (CP1 / TS1 desirable)

• Proactive, curious and collaborative mindset
