Role overview

Due to continued expansion, we’re recruiting a Business Development Manager to grow and develop our UK distributor network.


This is a nationwide, field-based role focused on identifying new distributor opportunities while supporting and developing existing accounts. You’ll manage distributor relationships end-to-end, deliver product demonstrations and training, and ensure customers are matched with the most suitable Dr Coffee equipment and service solutions.


You’ll be accountable for achieving agreed sales, profit, and growth targets, while delivering consistently high standards of customer service.


Development & progression

You’ll receive comprehensive product and technical training across equipment and service solutions, allowing you to build strong technical knowledge alongside industry-specific expertise. The role also offers exposure to coffee culture, sustainability, and quality standards, all of which are increasingly important within the UK market.


As the business grows, you’ll have the opportunity to develop strategic and commercial skills by identifying new markets and contributing to wider growth initiatives. Ongoing sales and management training is available, with clear potential to progress into senior commercial, key account, or management roles over time.


Location & package

  • Location: Nationwide, UK (field-based role with travel)
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent (Monday–Friday)
  • Salary: Competitive salary + company vehicle + sales commission & bonus

Key responsibilities

  • Manage your time effectively across existing account support and new business development
  • Maintain accurate administration and records for customer accounts
  • Follow a structured sales process, including equipment demonstrations and customer training
  • Manage all field-based customer interactions, including business development, equipment movements, and sales support
  • Identify opportunities to increase customer value through gap analysis
  • Build and maintain a prospect plan outlining current and future opportunities
  • Use marketing and sales support materials effectively and support the wider team when required
  • Conduct regular equipment audits for trial machines and distributor showroom models
  • Maintain up-to-date training records across all accounts
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer issues


Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar business development or field sales role
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets across a portfolio of accounts
  • Full, valid UK driving licence


Skills & knowledge

  • Coffee industry knowledge is advantageous but not essential
  • Confident using Microsoft Office
  • Strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
