About the role:

As the Social Value Lead you will shape, develop and lead the Social Value delivery from our supply chain to add value to wider society and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing community needs assessments & landscaping exercises to determine the needs of the local community, and identify key strategic projects to address these needs.
  • Develop and deliver a social impact plan focused on skills and employability, identifying partners for collaborative delivery, including identifying opportunities to leverage additional funding to support the delivery of plans.
  • Managing project plans, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Build and maintain collaborative networks with key local stakeholders to identify potential opportunities that support the objectives of the social impact plan.
  • Promote good governance practices and ensure all policies and standards associated with maximising social value and generating inclusive growth are put into practice.
  • Review, monitor and provide regular updates for key stakeholders on the performance of social impact projects and provide any recommendations for improvements.
  • Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on the effectiveness and outcomes of social impact activities using established frameworks (e.g., Social Value Portal, TOMS).
  • Prepare updates and reports to social value committee members.


Key Requirements:

  • You will be an excellent communicator and be able to develop and maintain strategic collaborative relationships with a variety of key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of the economic challenges and opportunities of the local area.
  • You will have a strong technical understanding of social value and how to develop social value plans that maximise impact.
  • Significant, demonstrable experience of successful delivery of complex social value projects and associated budgets.
  • Fully competent in social value monetisation tools.
  • Excellent communication and be able to communicate effectively with multiple audiences and stakeholders to develop and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Proven experience of successfully managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office suite)
