About Enough Energy

At Enough Energy, we make battery systems more powerful, flexible and lightweight. We do this by leveraging advanced software control to eliminate restrictive and high-cost power conversion hardware. We are bringing this Formula One grade innovation into the everyday world with a vision to boost energy independence and reduce reliance on power grids.

We’ve been developing a pioneering battery-boosted EV charging system that delivers ultra-rapid vehicle turnaround wherever it is needed, even where grid power is limited. We’re looking for high performers to join our team who are driven towards building and delivering new technologies to solve major energy problems.

About the Role

You will assist in the design, simulation, and validation of our hardware systems. Your primary focus will be on the electronics—specifically the physical circuitry and PCB layouts that manage energy flow—distinct from the mechanical structure or control software.

Working directly with the Technical Director, you will support the product lifecycle from initial schematic design through to hands-on testing and troubleshooting. Flexibility is essential; as a small startup, we need team members ready to tackle any task, whether it’s printing a PCB or assembling office equipment.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Electronic System Design – Support with the development of power electronics systems, PCB layouts, and performing simulations.
  2. Testing & Validation – Conduct hands-on testing and troubleshooting at all project stages.
  3. Technical Documentation – Draft and maintain design specifications and technical reports.
  4. Cross-functional Collaboration – Work with mechanical, software, and other teams to integrate electronic components.
  5. Project Execution – Support project delivery from design through to testing and implementation.

Responsibilities
  1. Support with the design, development, and optimisation of power electronics systems.
  2. Perform circuit simulations to validate designs before production.
  3. Develop PCB layouts and work on schematic capture.
  4. Conduct rigorous electronic testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  5. Learn and implement relevant industry standards and best practices.
  6. Participate in hands-on tasks beyond electronics, including prototyping and system testing.
  7. Keep up-to-date with new technology trends and industry advancements.

Example Projects

Below are some examples of projects you may work on to help illustrate what the role will look like.

  • High-power electronic systems – Designing and testing power electronics for industrial applications.
  • Custom PCB Development – Creating and optimising PCBs for embedded systems.
  • Prototype Testing & Validation – Working on physical prototypes, running tests, and refining designs.
  • Cross-functional Integration – Collaborating with mechanical and software teams to develop robust solutions.

About You

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (ideally).
  • Hands-on experience in power electronics, PCB design, and testing.

Technical Skills:

  • Working knowledge and experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle (Fusion), KiCAD).
  • Foundation in circuit simulation and analysis.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation and reports.

Soft Skills & Work Ethic:

  • Passionate about hands-on testing and problem-solving.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary startup environment.
  • A self-starter who enjoys tackling technical challenges.
  • Must be a keen bean!

Expected Interview Process
  1. 15 minute ‘get to know you’ interview via phone
