Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Acoustic / Electro-Acoustic Engineer to join a technology-led engineering team developing advanced underwater sensing and acoustic systems used globally.

This is a senior, hands-on role with real influence over acoustic performance, quality, and reliability across the full product lifecycle.


What you’ll do


  • Own acoustic performance and quality standards for new and existing products
  • Support production and industrialisation of electro-acoustic hardware
  • Lead acoustic testing, validation, and acceptance activities
  • Define acoustic requirements early in the design process
  • Investigate performance issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Work closely with design, test, suppliers, and international teams


What we’re looking for


  • Background in underwater acoustics, acoustic sensors, or electro-acoustic systems
  • Strong understanding of acoustic theory, signal processing, and sensor technologies
  • Confident interpreting acoustic test data and specifications
  • Proven problem-solver with strong communication skills


Desirable:

Experience with quality systems, prototyping/testing, or lab software tools

Qualifications

  • Degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar
  • Typically 5+ years’ relevant industry experience
