Job description
We’re looking for an experienced Acoustic / Electro-Acoustic Engineer to join a technology-led engineering team developing advanced underwater sensing and acoustic systems used globally.
This is a senior, hands-on role with real influence over acoustic performance, quality, and reliability across the full product lifecycle.
What you’ll do
- Own acoustic performance and quality standards for new and existing products
- Support production and industrialisation of electro-acoustic hardware
- Lead acoustic testing, validation, and acceptance activities
- Define acoustic requirements early in the design process
- Investigate performance issues and drive continuous improvement
- Work closely with design, test, suppliers, and international teams
What we’re looking for
- Background in underwater acoustics, acoustic sensors, or electro-acoustic systems
- Strong understanding of acoustic theory, signal processing, and sensor technologies
- Confident interpreting acoustic test data and specifications
- Proven problem-solver with strong communication skills
Desirable:
Experience with quality systems, prototyping/testing, or lab software tools
Qualifications
- Degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar
- Typically 5+ years’ relevant industry experience
