Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job description

A well‑established and highly respected building services consultancy in Winchester who are looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. This is a great opportunity to take the lead on projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to sustainable, technically robust building services designs.

Role Highlights

• Produce detailed electrical designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Lead electrical design stages from concept through to completion.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated solutions.
• Support, guide, and mentor junior engineers within the team.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to planning, coordination, and technical discussions.
• Integrate energy‑efficient and low‑carbon principles into all design work.

Requirements

• Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Solid experience in electrical building services design at senior level.
• Good working knowledge of BS standards and Building Regulations.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux, or similar design software.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Chartered or working towards Chartership is an advantage.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
