Position Details

Location: UK-based (Typically London & Glasgow)

Right To Work: Must be eligible to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship

Engagement: B2B 6–12-month rolling contracts

Work Model: Hybrid and fully remote options available

Start Date: Immediate and throughout 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/GenAI solutions for trading, risk management, and analytics within capital markets.
• Collaborate with front-office teams to integrate AI-driven models into production systems.
• Work alongside data engineers and platform engineering teams to enhance front-office performance.
• Optimise performance and scalability of AI applications in high-frequency environments, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards.

Required Experience

• Minimum: 4+ years in Software Engineering / AI Engineering roles.
• Domain Expertise: Strong experience in capital markets, front-office systems, or financial services (essential)
• Proven track record of delivering AI/ML solutions in production environments, or demonstrable experience building AI tools inside or outside of work setting.
• Education: Relevant Software Engineering / Computer Science degree.

Technical Skills

• Programming Languages: Python, Java, C++, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Machine Learning: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
• GenAI / LLMs: OpenAI API, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, Langraph, RAG pipelines
• Data & Analytics: Pandas, NumPy, Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Vector Databases, Snowflake
• Model Deployment: MLflow, FastAPI, Flask, Docker, Kubernetes
• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, GCP
• CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins)

Desirable Skills

• Experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning LLMs, and building RAG-based solutions.
• Knowledge of financial instruments, pricing models, and risk analytics.
• Familiarity with MLOps and data governance in regulated environments.
