Mid - Level DevOps Engineer (6-Month Contract) - Design Services

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AWS infrastructure using automation and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
• Support and improve serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, event-driven services).
• Apply SRE principles to improve reliability, availability, performance, and incident response.
• Develop and maintain Python automation for CI/CD, infrastructure operations, and reliability tooling.
• Build and support internal platform capabilities that enable development teams to deploy and operate services efficiently.
• Manage and support PostgreSQL databases in AWS, ensuring performance, resilience, and data integrity.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, enabling reliable and repeatable deployments.
• Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, SREs, and operations teams to deliver against agreed outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (e.g. IAM, VPC, EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Proven experience delivering serverless solutions in production environments.
• Practical experience applying SRE practices, including monitoring, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, and incident management.
• Strong Python skills for automation and tooling.
• Experience operating and supporting PostgreSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of platform engineering and developer enablement.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
