Setting Out Engineer

Job description

We are recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer to join a respected UK civils, groundworks and RC frame contractor, working on an project in Cambridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer who is passionate about delivering projects to the highest standard while advancing their career.

Start Date: Monday 19th January 2026

Site Location: Cambridge

Scope of works: Externals – Groundworks, Civils and RC Frame Contractor

Hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm

Duration: Up to 2 months

Parking available on site

Criteria:

• Must have experience in setting out, checking drawings.
• Experience working for a sub contractor
• Strong communication skills
• Working references - essential
• CSCS – Essential
• SMSTS & further qualifications – desirable

Pay: £280 - £300 per day depending upon experience.
