Software Tester

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive UAT Tester to support the testing and delivery of applications, web platforms, and EPOS/POS systems. This role sits at the intersection of product, development, and stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and deliver a high-quality user experience.

You will be responsible for planning and executing user acceptance testing, providing clear feedback to developers, supporting the product lifecycle, and contributing to product demonstrations.

• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across:
• Mobile and desktop applications
• Web platforms
• EPOS and POS systems
• Validate system functionality against business and user requirements
• Create, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
• Identify, document, and track defects using agreed tools and processes
• Provide clear, structured feedback to developers and product teams
• Retest fixes and support regression testing where required
• Actively participate in the product lifecycle, from requirements review through to release and post-deployment support
• Support and contribute to product demonstrations, showcasing features and functionality to stakeholders and clients
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business users to clarify requirements and expected outcomes
• Ensure testing is completed within agreed timelines and quality standards

• Proven experience in UAT testing or a similar QA role
• Experience testing applications, web platforms, EPOS and/or POS systems
• Excellent defect reporting and documentation skills
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable presenting and supporting product demos
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

Office based Whitefield, Manchester

• £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
