Electrical Design Engineer

Job description

I'm working with a globally established engineering business that designs and builds high-speed automated machinery. The company has a long track record of technical innovation and delivers full turnkey processing and packaging systems used worldwide.

They're now looking to add an Electrical Design Engineer to their engineering team as part of continued growth.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design electrical and control panel systems for automated machinery and production lines
• Produce PLC hardware designs and electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
• Support manufacturing and build teams with technical input during assembly and test
• Create and maintain electrical documentation including BOMs, cable schedules, and test procedures
• Ensure designs meet machinery regulations and CE / UKCA compliance requirements

Essential Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an electrical design role within machinery or automation
• Experience using AutoCAD Electrical (or similar)
• Understanding of machinery regulations and safety standards
