An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, close-knit nursing team at a well-equipped 24-hour veterinary hospital in Hampshire.

The Hospital & Role

This is a 24/7 small animal hospital providing high-quality care for a wide range of medical and surgical cases. The hospital environment is calm, professional, and well supported, allowing nurses to deliver excellent overnight care while ensuring continuity for hospitalised patients.

As a Night RVN, you will predominantly be based within the wards and in-patient areas, playing a vital

role in patient comfort, recovery, and ongoing care overnight. You will work closely with clinicians, patient care assistants, twilight teams, and day nursing teams to ensure high clinical standards are maintained throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality overnight nursing care to hospitalised patients
• Monitoring post-operative and medical cases
• Administering medications, specialised diets, analgesia, and treatments
• Supporting physiotherapy, catheter and drain care, and wound management
• Ensuring patient comfort, mental stimulation, and recovery overnight
• Working collaboratively with clinicians and the wider hospital team

Caseload

The night nursing team supports a varied in-patient caseload, including post-operative recoveries and ongoing medical care. This role offers excellent exposure to complex cases while remaining hands-on and patient focused.

The Team

You will be joining a supportive and experienced nursing team, including a dedicated PCA team, with strong collaboration and communication across the hospital. The culture is friendly, inclusive, and focused on wellbeing, learning, and professional development.
