Project Manager – Wastewater

Location: Coleraine(site-based)

Contract: Outside IR35

Rate: Competitive (DOE)

Duration: Initial 6–12 months (extension likely)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work on wastewater infrastructure projects in Northern Ireland, supporting a major water industry client. The role will involve managing delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end project management of wastewater treatment and network projects
• Managing programme, cost, risk, and change control
• Coordinating contractors, designers, and client stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety and water industry standards
• Reporting progress, risks, and forecasts to senior stakeholders
• Supporting site teams and resolving delivery issues

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within wastewater / water utilities
• Strong understanding of WwTW, sewage networks, or AMP projects
• Experience working for or with UK water companies (e.g. United Utilities)
• Excellent stakeholder and contractor management skills
• Ability to work on site in Coleraine

Desirable

• NEC contract experience
• Engineering or construction background
• Relevant PM qualifications (APM, PRINCE2, etc.)
