Automation & Control Engineer

Sheffield

Up to £55k + bonus

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading UK manufacturing site who are looking for an experienced Automation & Control Engineer to take ownership of on-site control and automation systems supporting a high-volume production environment.

You’ll be the go-to technical specialist for PLCs, SCADA and electrical control systems, focused on fault-finding, system reliability and continuous improvement.

Key experience required:

• Strong hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
• Solid background with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) and Siemens control platforms
• Experience supporting live manufacturing or process environments
• SCADA and HMI exposure within industrial settings
• Ability to diagnose faults, carry out root cause analysis and support commissioning activity
• Comfortable working as a site-based technical lead, liaising with maintenance teams and external suppliers

Desirable:

• Industrial networking knowledge (eg Ethernet/IP, Profibus)
• Continuous improvement or Lean / Six Sigma exposure
