The Opportunity: Key Account Manager – Foodservice

As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a Key Account Manager to help drive Foodservice expansion. Foodservice is one of the most exciting growth areas in UK food. This role will play a key part in unlocking new business and strengthening existing partnerships across a broad portfolio of customers including distributors, Cash & Carry operators, end users, and food manufacturers.

For the right person, this is a development role with a clear path to National Account Manager and beyond.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage direct relationships with key Foodservice customers
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities aligned to strategic growth goals
  • Drive distribution of existing and new products, managing mix to maximise margin
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotions in line with business objectives
  • Deliver price increases and ensure strong margin control
  • Manage promotional activity, including pre- and post-evaluation for ROI
  • Communicate brand and category plans effectively to the customer base
  • Ensure all customer activity aligns with the wider commercial strategy
  • Represent the KTC brand with confidence, professionalism, and purpose




Candidate Profile

We’re looking for a commercially driven and customer-focused individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll be confident managing existing accounts while spotting opportunities to grow and innovate. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of commercial rigour, sector knowledge and energy to deliver results across a dynamic customer base.

  • Proven track record within the UK Foodservice Sector-Distributors, Cash & Carry or End Users. This could be KAM, Jnr NAM or Regional Level.
  • Experience selling into food manufacturers is highly desirable
  • Open to candidates from Commercial Foodservice Wholesale/Distributor side
  • Strong commercial awareness with a proactive, results-oriented mindset
  • Confident negotiator with experience managing customer pricing and trading terms
  • Resilient, self-starting and adaptable to change
