Microsoft Copilot Engineer

Understanding Recruitment NFP is looking for a Microsoft Copilot Engineer

Job description

AI / Microsoft Copilot Engineer – Contract

6 Month Contract Initially

Remote

Daily rate, £400-£600 Full Time and Part Time Option Available

We’re supporting a large, UK charity on the next phase of its AI journey following a successful rollout of Microsoft Copilot. Demand for AI solutions across the organisation are accelerating, and they’re now looking for an experienced Microsoft Copilot / AI Engineer to come in and help shape, build, and govern the next wave of Copilot agents and AI-enabled solutions.

This is a hands-on delivery role where you’ll work closely with internal technology and product teams, as well as senior stakeholders, to turn real business problems into practical Copilot solutions.

The initial engagement is a 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension as AI capability continues to scale. The role is remote, sits inside a Microsoft-first environment, and is ideal for someone who has already delivered Copilot Studio Agents end-to-end and can confidently guide an organisation that’s past the “proof of concept” stage and into real adoption.

Skills required for the Microsoft Copilot Engineer role:

  • Proven hands-on experience delivering Microsoft Copilot and/or Copilot Studio solutions
  • Experience building and deploying AI agents aligned to real business use cases
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills – able to shape scope, not just take tickets
  • Comfortable working in evolving environments with partial requirements and high visibility
