Fire & Security Role: Are you a Fire Alarm & AOV Commissioning Engineer working with fire alarm and automatic opening vent systems?

The ideal candidate would have:

• Proven fire alarm commissioning experience to BS 5839 standards
• Previous on-site installation and/or commissioning background
• Strong technical understanding of fan motors, inverters, and detection systems
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and make informed decisions on site
• Confidence working independently and taking ownership of projects
• Strong IT skills and confidence using digital tools and systems
• Full UK driving licence

About the role:

• Commission and certify Fire Alarm and AOV (Automatic Opening Vent) systems
• Primarily working on London-based client sites, with nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays
• Participate in the on-call rota (currently 1 week in every 8)
• Develop, document, and verify cause and effect strategies
• Program, test, and fault-find life safety systems
• Read and interpret technical drawings and site mark-ups
• Liaise with Design, Project Management, and Maintenance teams
• Complete project administration including timesheets, vehicle checks, and expenses
• Finalise commissioning documentation and sign off project certification
• Deliver planned commissioning works and respond to emergency callouts when required
