Workshop Engineer

Job description

Preptec Equipment Services are a supplier of floor preparation and related equipment to customers throughout the UK and Ireland. This position offers the applicant an opportunity to work in an established business with a reputation for high levels of customer service.

This opportunity will include a variety of tasks including –

1. Repair and servicing of equipment

2. Electrical and mechanical repairs

3. Welding

4. PAT testing equipment

5. Preparing new equipment for sale

6. Packing machinery for despatch

7. Fork lift truck operation

8. Workshop housekeeping

9. Delivery and collection of equipment / goods in company van.

10. Demonstration of equipment

Minimum requirements

1. 3 years workshop experience

2. Forklift operation

3. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team

Preferred requirements

A background and interest in mechanical equipment ideally in the surface preparation industry. An understanding of the different types of equipment supplied and the operation would be a major advantage. Additional training will be provided as required.

Monday – Friday 8.30 to 5pm – 30 mins lunch plus breaks

20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays

Salary – Competitive hourly rate to be discussed depending on experience
