Day rate: £400 - £450

Position Summary

A contract opportunity is available for a P6 planning professional to contribute to the delivery of UK rail infrastructure works. The position focuses on programme creation, schedule control, and performance reporting across complex rail projects, working alongside project and delivery teams.

This role would suit an individual experienced in using Primavera P6 within regulated rail environments and familiar with access and possession-driven delivery.

Key Accountabilities

• Creation and ongoing management of detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
• Establishment of programme baselines and monitoring of change and progress
• Analysis of schedule performance, dependencies, and delivery risks
• Incorporation of access limitations, possessions, and sequencing into project plans
• Production of planning outputs including progress reports and forward-look schedules
• Collaboration with engineering, commercial, and construction teams
• Adherence to rail governance processes and planning assurance requirements

Required Background

• Experience delivering planning support on UK rail infrastructure projects
• Strong capability in Primavera P6 scheduling and controls
• Knowledge of rail delivery frameworks and control periods
• Exposure to possession-led planning environments
• Confident communicator with strong analytical skills
• Able to manage planning responsibilities with limited supervision
