WebCenter SME

Frontier Resourcing is looking for a WebCenter SME

Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle WebCenter Subject Matter Expert to support a business-critical content and collaboration platform operating within a UK government / defence environment.

This role is hands-on and pragmatic – focused on platform stability, integration, and technical assurance rather than greenfield development. The successful candidate will be trusted to operate with minimal supervision in a secure, regulated estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Oracle WebCenter Subject Matter Expert, providing trusted technical leadership to client stakeholders, with a primary focus on WebCenter Content (UCM)
  • Deliver hands-on consultancy support across BAU, incident resolution, and platform optimisation within a secure client environment
  • Provide expert input into Oracle WebLogic Server configuration, patching, upgrades, and environment management, working alongside client and Oracle infrastructure teams
  • Lead the diagnosis and resolution of performance, stability, and integration issues, including root cause analysis and remediation recommendations
  • Engage directly with client-side infrastructure, security, and architecture teams to ensure alignment with security, governance, and operational standards
  • Support and advise on integrations with enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, and Oracle SOA components
  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, contributing to assurance, audit readiness, and operational handover activities

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience supporting legacy or long-lived Oracle estates
  • Involvement in WebCenter migration or decommissioning programmes
  • Exposure to cloud-hosted Oracle platforms (OCI) in hybrid environments
  • Background working with MOD or central government departments

Working Arrangements

  • Predominantly remote
  • Very occasional travel to Reading or London (typically 1–2 days per month)
  • Standard UK working hours, with flexibility expected in live operational environments
