Opportunity:

We're supporting an exciting sports related start-up client working with low-latency, real-time tech. Although the business has started in the last 2 years, they’re already profitable, with strong growth trajectory they’ve decided to onboard a talented frontend engineer.

What You'll Be Doing as a Snr Frontend Engineer | Typescript, React, Real-Time | Sports Data Focused | Up to £85k | Hybrid in London | Start-up | Profitable Already!

• Design, optimize, and support high-performance user interfaces using React and TypeScript
• Integrate and manage real-time sports data streams via WebSockets, streaming APIs, and synchronized state
• Develop frontend systems capable of efficiently handling large datasets, intensive rendering, and high-frequency updates
• Create scalable UI architectures with reusable components and well-structured state management
• Partner with backend engineers to integrate APIs and establish efficient data-exchange contracts
• Deliver fast, performant applications by leveraging caching, SSR/SSG, and optimization strategies in Next.js
• Contribute to UI/UX efforts through mockups, prototypes, and component-driven design
• Apply SEO-best practices, particularly for server-rendered pages

• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript
• Proven frontend performance optimization skills (rendering, memoization, virtualization)

• Working knowledge of Next.js (SSR, SSG, routing, data fetching)
• Capable of creating UI mockups and wireframes for new features
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals and SSR best practices
• Solid grasp of responsive design, core web concepts, and browser behaviour
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows
