Our client is one of the UK’s leading demolition and remediation contractors, delivering projects from £100k to £20m+ across a wide range of complex and high-profile sites. With their own workforce and modern in-house fleet, they proudly self-deliver the majority of their operations nationwide.


Smart City Recruiters working with our client who are now looking for a Demolition Project Manager to join their Head Office team in Birmingham.


Responsibilities:


  • Plan and manage demolition projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting.
  • Manage our clients operatives / subcontractors and ensure that they are meeting project requirements and deadlines.
  • Ensure that all safety regulations and standards are followed during the demolition process.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgets.
  • Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure that project goals and objectives are being met.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and other project documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee the preparation of project sites and ensure that all equipment and materials are in place.
  • Manage the disposal of debris and hazardous materials in compliance with waste regulations.


Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in demolition project management.
  • Knowledge of demolition equipment, techniques, and safety regulations BS6187 & BS5975
  • Hold demolition managers CSCS card
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to operate Microsoft platforms – word, excel, and power-point.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
