This is an opportunity to take real ownership of high-voltage renewable energy projects at a business that is directly contributing to the UK’s energy transition.

You will join a well-established, employee-owned electrical engineering contractor delivering HV infrastructure for utility-scale renewable and grid projects across the UK. The work is technically challenging, commercially significant, and delivered with a long-term mindset rather than short-term turnover pressure.

The role

As Senior Electrical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of high-voltage electrical projects typically valued between £1m and £30m.

You will be trusted to manage projects from early engagement and pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, acting as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include

• Leading the delivery of HV and renewable energy projects end-to-end
• Managing programme, budget, procurement, and commercial performance
• Ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and quality on site
• Leading project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Coordinating with design engineers and supporting technical decision-making
• Acting as the primary interface with clients, DNOs, TSOs, and other stakeholders
• Mentoring project engineers and supporting team development

What we are looking for

This role is suited to someone with a strong background in electrical or HV project delivery who is comfortable operating at senior level.

You will likely have

• Experience delivering HV or electrical infrastructure projects within a contractor or engineering services environment
• Proven project management experience with complex, multi-disciplinary projects
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence managing budgets and supply chains
• An electrical engineering qualification at degree or HND level
• A collaborative leadership style and clear communication skills
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
• Chartered status or progress toward IEng or CEng is advantageous
