Principal Mechanical Engineer | Building Services | Hybrid Working

A well-established building services consultancy is looking to appoint a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior mechanical professional to take on a leadership role within a respected and stable consultancy, working across a wide and varied project portfolio.

The Role

You’ll take technical ownership of mechanical design delivery across a diverse range of building services projects, including commercial offices, residential developments, healthcare, education, mixed-use schemes, life sciences, industrial, and public sector projects. Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll play a key role from concept through to completion while helping shape technical standards and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical building services design across multiple sectors

• Provide technical leadership and quality assurance

• Manage project delivery, budgets, and programmes

• Mentor and develop engineers within the team

• Act as a key client-facing point of contact

About You

• Strong background in mechanical building services consultancy

• Experience delivering complex, multi-sector projects

• Confident leading teams and managing client relationships

• Excellent technical knowledge and communication skills
