✛ Overview ✛


HYTE is supporting the appointment of a dedicated Airworthiness Engineer (Contract) for a specialist aerospace engineering organisation.


This is a senior contract role for an experienced airworthiness professional capable of operating autonomously, providing assurance and guidance across regulated aerospace and defence programmes.


The successful contractor will act as the go-to airworthiness specialist, supporting engineering activity with clear, pragmatic, and credible guidance.


✛ Key Responsibilities ✛


  • Act as the airworthiness authority across relevant engineering programmes
  • Provide guidance on certification, compliance, and assurance activities
  • Support design, development, and review from an airworthiness perspective
  • Interface with engineering and programme stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment with applicable airworthiness frameworks and standards


✛ Candidate Profile ✛


  • Proven experience as an Airworthiness Engineer within aerospace or defence
  • Strong understanding of UK military or regulated aviation frameworks
  • Confident operating as a standalone specialist contractor
  • SC clearance or eligibility
