Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Planner to join our dynamic team in Gaydon. This role is pivotal in driving the successful planning and delivery of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) projects within a fast-paced, Agile environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the UK, China, and the US to ensure alignment with programme goals and timelines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate timing requirements to the HMI HF Team and stakeholders.
  • Align departmental planning with programme needs across delivery and integration teams.
  • Use JIRA and Confluence to plan, track, and communicate project progress.
  • Develop and adjust work plans based on programme timing and late-stage changes.
  • Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and changes to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with global HMI teams to align with spec releases and share planning insights.
  • Lead large-scale projects with minimal oversight, ensuring strategic alignment.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and capacity forecasting.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in Agile frameworks and methodologies.
  • Strong background in planning for large teams within complex organisations.
  • Experience delivering technical products collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe)
  • Experience in Agile transformation or coaching
  • Familiarity with Lean principles and DevOps practices
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry
