Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior CAD Design Engineer to support our Applications and Technical team in the design of pneumatic systems and control panels. This role is ideal for someone with strong 3D CAD skills who is keen to develop their knowledge within the pneumatics and industrial automation sector.

You will work closely with Applications Engineers, producing accurate CAD drawings and technical documentation, while also providing technical support to customers via phone and email. Full training will be provided on our products and systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

·      Produce, update, and maintain 3D CAD drawings and pneumatic schematics

·      Create layout drawings, identify components, and manage drawing revisions

·      Maintain well-organised design files and technical documentation

·      Support Applications Engineers with design and project-related tasks

·      Provide technical assistance to customers via telephone and email (with training provided)

 

Requirements

·      Competent in 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor preferred)

·      2D AutoCAD skills would be an advantage

·      Interest in pneumatics, automation, or mechanical engineering

·      Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions

·      Reliable, organised, and motivated to develop technical skills

 

Desirable Skills

·      Exposure to pneumatic or automation systems

·      Familiarity with schematic symbols and technical drawings


Further Details:

·      Full-time role: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (30-minute lunch)

·      20 days holiday, rising to 25 with length of service, plus bank holidays
