Are you an electrically-minded engineer looking for your next big step?

Our client is a leading name in Aberdeenshire’s thriving food sector, and they are looking for a motivated Site Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join their team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who has completed an apprenticeship or has a few years of experience and is ready to grow within a fast-paced production environment. This role offers the rare benefit of a Monday to Friday day shift, providing a great work-life balance while still working in a technically challenging setting.

The Role: What you will be doing

You will be a key part of the engineering team, keeping the site running smoothly while developing your skills in a major manufacturing facility.

  • Keep Things Moving: Carry out planned maintenance (PPMs) and assist with both electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
  • Problem Solve: Diagnose faults on automated machinery and help implement long-term fixes.
  • Project Support: Get involved with equipment upgrades and reliability initiatives.
  • Teamwork: Work alongside production teams to minimize downtime and maintain high safety standards.

What you will need to bring

We are looking for someone with a solid electrical foundation and a proactive attitude.

  • Electrical Knowledge: You should hold a recognized electrical qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or HNC/D). Being 18th Edition trained is preferred.
  • Background: Experience in Food, FMCG, or high-speed manufacturing is ideal. If you come from a similar fast-paced sector, we are still open to your application.
  • Technical Interest: A basic understanding of PLCs, conveyors, and automated systems.
  • Right to Work: You must have full, permanent UK working rights. We cannot offer sponsorship or consider those on limited-term visas.

What is on offer?

  • Salary: A competitive starting bracket from £32,000 to £40,000 depending on experience.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday day shift, offering excellent stability.
  • Development: Ongoing training and a clear path to progress your engineering career.
  • Environment: A stable, well-invested site with a supportive leadership team.
  • Relocation: Potential assistance for those looking to move to the Aberdeenshire area.
