PRODUCTION MANAGER

My client are seeking an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in mechanical engineering. The role requires proven leadership and supervisory skills to manage people, processes, and workflows in a technically demanding workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce health and safety standards and maintain a clean, organised workshop
• Lead, motivate, and develop workshop personnel
• Control workflow, labour, materials, and equipment scheduling
• Plan and manage production activities to meet quality standards and delivery deadlines
• Liaise closely with internal sales, engineering, procurement, and logistics teams
• Manage relationships with external suppliers and partners

Skills & Experience

• Formal engineering qualification (Mechanical Engineering or similar)
• Strong knowledge of manual and CNC machining, and fabrication processes
• Previous experience in a production or workshop management role
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Salary & Benefits

• £40,000+
• 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
• Monday-Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm with 30 min lunch break (12:30pm-13:00pm)
• Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm with 30 min lunch break (12:30pm-13:00pm)
