Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset

Salary: £45,000 – £47,000 per annum

We are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Bournemouth that is looking to appoint an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support ongoing growth and continuous improvement across their production operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys improving processes, driving efficiency, and working closely with production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes, supporting new and existing products, and ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing processes
• Supporting production with technical problem-solving and root cause analysis
• Implementing continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Creating and maintaining work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation
• Supporting NPI and product transfers into manufacture
• Working closely with production, quality, and design teams

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role
• Strong background in manufacturing / production engineering
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
• Ability to analyse processes and implement practical solutions
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
