Senior Test Engineer

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer with strong hands-on electronics experience to join a small manufacturing team. In this role, you will take ownership of product testing, support continuous improvement across production processes, and provide technical guidance to both internal teams and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day testing activities within the manufacturing environment
• Perform hands-on testing, fault-finding, and repair of electronic assemblies and components
• Carry out high-quality soldering and rework to IPC standards
• Guide and support a small team of technicians, ensuring best practices are followed
• Work closely with engineering to help improve processes and product quality
• Provide technical support to customers as needed, including problem-solving and product knowledge assistance
• Maintain accurate test records, documentation, and reporting

About you

• Strong background in electronics assembly, testing, and soldering
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
• Confident in supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Comfortable working directly with customers and internal stakeholders
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Detail-oriented, hands-on, and proactive in problem solving
