Service Care Solutions is looking for a Gambling Practitioner

Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Gambling Practitioner to join our specialist service supporting individuals and communities affected by gambling-related harm.


Gambling Practitioner – Tyne and Wear

  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Salary: £28,700 per annum
  • Contract: Full-time, Permanent
  • Bonus: £250 referral bonus & £250 new starter bonus


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage referrals, screening, and assessments
  • Deliver recovery-focused interventions, including one-to-one, group work, relapse prevention, and mutual aid
  • Develop and review recovery care plans using evidence-based approaches (e.g. MI, CBT-informed practice)
  • Promote engagement with peer support and self-help resources
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and deliver training and awareness sessions
  • Maintain accurate records, manage a caseload, and contribute to service evaluation


Essential Requirements

  • NQF Level 4 qualification (or above) in a relevant field
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs (e.g. Addictions or mental health)
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and governance
  • Strong communication and partnership-working skills
  • Commitment to person-centred, recovery-oriented practice

  • Ongoing supervision, training, and development provided
