Software Development Lead

Wilmslow (Hybrid)

up to 70K

We have teamed up with an industry professional who are looking for a Software Development Lead role to join their team! They are expanding due to a restructure in order to build a stronger, more sustainable in-house engineering function.

This role will lead two development teams (a technical platform team and a feature-focused product team) and you’ll balance hands-on development with team leadership within an Agile environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading and developing two Agile software teams
• Introducing and embedding TDD and modern engineering practices
• Improving estimation, delivery tracking, and reporting (Jira)
• Being a hands-on leader with the ability to
• Creating a people-first, high-performing engineering culture

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience leading software development teams
• Lead a team of 4 to 6 engineers working with a modern tech stack that includes .NET Core, Azure, React, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, and Docker.
• Experience with Agile delivery and Jira
• Passion for TDD (Test Driven Development), unit testing, and quality engineering
• A people-focused leader

Salary up to 70K, Hybrid working (3 days a week in Wilmslow), 28 days holiday including bank holidays, Pension Scheme, and much more!
