The Role
My client are looking to recruit a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their site in Aberdeen. You’ll work as part of a small, close-knit two-person engineering team, reporting directly into the Engineering Manager, supporting a busy food manufacturing operation.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for an engineer who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being a key part of site reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across all site equipment
- Electrical fault-finding, repairs and installations on production machinery
- Mechanical maintenance including bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps and pneumatics
- Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
- Assisting with breakdown response to minimise downtime
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with food safety, health & safety and engineering standards
- Supporting basic site services and utilities where required
- Working closely with the Engineering Manager to prioritise workloads and improvements
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment (food or FMCG preferred)
- Strong electrical maintenance experience (fault finding, sensors, motors, control panels)
- Solid mechanical maintenance background
- Ability to work independently as part of a small engineering team
- A proactive, reliable and hands-on approach
- Engineering qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds / equivalent) preferred but not essential
