About Trading Post Coffee Roasters

Trading Post Coffee Roasters is a dynamic and fast-growing artisan coffee company rooted in Brighton’s vibrant coffee scene. Since opening in 2017, we’ve grown to 12 coffee houses across Brighton and Sussex, each serving freshly roasted coffee, exceptional food, and crafted cocktails.

We’re passionate about quality, sustainability, and community — sourcing, roasting, and distributing outstanding coffees from around the world. Our focus on excellence, consistency, and hospitality defines everything we do.

Now, as we continue to expand nationally, we’re looking for an ambitious Wholesale Account Manager to help take our wholesale coffee program to the next level.

Position Overview

The Wholesale Account Manager will be a key driver in expanding Trading Post’s footprint across London and the South East. This role is 70% focused on new business development — winning new wholesale accounts — and 30% on nurturing and growing existing relationships.

You’ll have the autonomy to identify opportunities, build strong relationships, and deliver on ambitious growth targets while working closely with our Head of Sales and roastery team to ensure Trading Post coffee is showcased in the best cafes, restaurants, hotels, and hospitality venues across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

New Business (70%)

  • Proactively identify and secure new wholesale partners across London, the South East, and beyond.
  • Build a consistent pipeline of prospective accounts and deliver measurable growth month-on-month.
  • Develop and deliver tailored proposals that highlight Trading Post’s quality, sustainability, and service.
  • Conduct coffee tastings, demos, and site visits to convert leads into long-term partnerships.
  • Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Account Management & Growth (30%)

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing wholesale partners, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat orders.
  • Collaborate with partners to improve menu quality, training, and coffee consistency.
  • Work with internal teams — including roasting, production, and logistics — to ensure smooth delivery and exceptional customer experience.
  • Track account performance, report on KPIs, and support retention and growth strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven track record in B2B or wholesale sales, ideally within the coffee, foodservice, or hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrated success in new business acquisition and pipeline management.
  • Strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and target-driven.
  • Confident with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Passionate about specialty coffee and sustainable sourcing.

Benefits

  • Salary starting from £47,500+ (depending on experience)
  • Uncapped commission — earn based on performance
  • Car allowance or London Travel Card
  • Company share option scheme after completion of 6-month probation period
  • Career development opportunities in a growing national brand
  • Employee discounts in-store and online
  • Collaborative, creative, and supportive team culture
