Join Tarplett Generator Services Ltd, a leader in reliable diesel generators and backup power solutions for over 30 years. We're expanding and seeking a driven Technical Sales Consultant to fuel our growth. This role stems from our exciting business expansion and strategic succession planning. You'll join a highly successful sales team with focus on nurturing leads and building relationships . Full training provided, but a background in mechanical or industrial engineering (ideally generators) will give you a head start.

As a proactive team player, you'll manage projects, procure solutions, and collaborate across teams. We're committed to your development, offering guidance to build your skills in a fast-evolving industry.


Key Task & Main Duties

· Lead business development efforts by identifying new opportunities.

· Prepare quotations and contracts, and take ownership of sales negotiations.

· Collaborate on the development of innovative projects and designs.

· Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.


Key Attributes

  • Proven experience in a sales role, with a track record of success.
  • Background in mechanical, electrical, or construction engineering is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the generator industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage a busy schedule.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Valid UK driver’s license and willingness to travel within the UK.
