Medical Device Sales

Territory Manager / Business Development Manager

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a global medical device company operating at the forefront of pain therapy. The business is known for its strong clinical evidence, data-driven technology, and commitment to improving patient outcomes through precision-based therapies.

This is an opportunity to join a science-led organisation that combines advanced technology with real-world clinical impact. The company is scaling its commercial presence and is looking for a high-performing commercial professional to drive growth across a defined territory.

The Role

This position combines territory management and new business development, with responsibility for growing revenue across both existing and new accounts.

You will work closely with regional leadership and clinical specialists to expand adoption, support clinicians, and deliver strong, sustainable territory performance. Success in this role requires a balance of commercial drive, clinical credibility, and relationship-building ability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed territory revenue targets through growth in existing and new accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across hospitals and clinical sites.
  • Build deep knowledge of chronic pain therapies within a competitive market landscape.
  • Train and educate customers on the clinical application, benefits, and proper use of implantable medical devices.
  • Deliver high-quality presentations and product demonstrations using appropriate formats and platforms.
  • Maintain strong awareness of competitor products, positioning, and clinical differentiation.
  • Identify, develop, and progress new customer opportunities within the territory.
  • Act as a trusted partner to existing accounts, supporting long-term adoption and utilisation.
  • Spend significant time in clinical environments, including hospitals, operating theatres, and clinics.
  • Attend and support physician education events, conferences, and training sessions.
  • Conduct regular forecasting and territory planning.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical specialists to drive successful case support and account growth.
  • Participate in internal meetings, planning calls, and strategic discussions focused on key accounts.

Experience & Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience selling implantable medical devices.
  • Experience in patient-facing clinical environments is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of success in a previous sales or territory role.
  • Strong analytical capability; comfort working with data and forecasts.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, MS Office, and sales reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within territory.

Why This Role

  • Play a key role in shaping the growth and success of a strategically important territory.
  • Work with technology that has clear clinical differentiation and strong evidence behind it.
  • Partner closely with clinical and commercial colleagues in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Operate in a fast-paced, high-impact role where performance and initiative are recognised.
  • Be part of a culture built on trust, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement.

If this sounds like you, you'll fit right in.
