An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Assistant (Audio products) with barista experience to join our KEF Music Gallery London team at one of the world’s leading specialist audio brands, KEF.

This role is based in central London and combines a passion for customer service, music, and premium audio with high-quality café and barista service.

Role Summary

As part of the KEF Music Gallery London team, you will be responsible for delivering a world-class, personal customer experience across both the retail gallery and café areas.


You will confidently support product demonstrations, assist with sales activities, and provide high-quality barista service, ensuring that both the gallery and café environments operate smoothly and reflect KEF’s premium brand standards. You will act as an ambassador for KEF’s values, culture, and customer-first approach.


Job Location and work schedule

You will be based in KEF Music Gallery located in central London and you will be working 5 days a week, Tuesday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Experience

  • Provide exceptional, personalised customer service at all times
  • Assist the sales team with the setup and support of customer product demonstrations
  • Communicate product features and benefits clearly to customers of all knowledge levels
  • Build strong customer relationships and contribute to achieving sales KPIs and overall store performance
  • Support in-store events and demonstrations as required

Café & Barista Responsibilities

  • Serve food and beverages, including high-quality coffee, to KEF standards (The food is prepared eg cake/fruit/pastries)
  • Ensure all food and drinks are presented to a consistently high standard
  • Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and welcoming atmosphere in the café area
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of café operations, including waste control and stock rotation
  • Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and due diligence procedures (HACCP, COSHH where applicable)

Operations & Administration

  • Responsible for the smooth running of assigned daily operations within the gallery and café
  • Open and close the site in line with security and operational checklists
  • Cash handling, including cashing up and daily till reconciliation
  • Manage stock, ordering, and deliveries for both retail and café areas as required
  • Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any issues to the Store Manager or Technical Sales team
  • Ensure all store guidelines, procedures, and brand standards are followed
  • Maintain a safe workplace and adhere to all health & safety legislation


Personal skills and qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with a passion for music, sound, and audio
  • Previous barista experience with a genuine enthusiasm for coffee and hospitality
  • Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate (Level 2 or equivalent) – required or willingness to obtain
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, HACCP, COSHH, and wider health & safety standards
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to deliver premium service
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to support colleagues across functions
  • Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge and operational skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional events
  • IT literate and comfortable learning and using new technology
  • Honest, reliable, and demonstrates integrity
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure an exceptional customer journey
