Area Sales Manager – Construction Plant Machinery (OEM)

Dumfries & South of Scotland

£45,000 – £50,000 Basic + £7,000 Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

NEOS Engineering are recruiting on behalf of a leading OEM of Construction Plant Machinery for an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover Dumfries and the South of Scotland.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly for an OEM, representing a well-respected brand with a strong product range, excellent market presence, and clear long-term career development.

The Role

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving new machine sales, developing existing customer relationships, and growing market share across your designated territory.

You’ll work closely with dealers, end users, and internal teams to deliver strong commercial results while maintaining the OEM’s brand and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell new construction plant machinery across the South of Scotland
• Develop and manage relationships with key customers and dealer partners
• Identify and convert new business opportunities within the territory
• Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry through to order and delivery
• Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms and close deals
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports and market intelligence
• Represent the brand at customer meetings, demonstrations and industry events
• Work closely with internal departments including product support and marketing

Equipment Portfolio

• Excavators (mini, midi & heavy)
• Loaders and material handling equipment
• Associated attachments and plant solutions

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager / Territory Sales Manager within construction plant machinery
• OEM or dealer background highly desirable
• Strong understanding of plant machinery and end-user applications
• Commercially focused with a consultative sales approach
• Confident negotiator with a track record of achieving sales targets
• Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working autonomously
• Full UK Driving Licence
