The role – Principal Consultant (Delivery Lead)

As part of the Transform Together Consulting team, you will lead complex, data-driven transformation programmes for organisations operating in highly regulated environments such as pensions, insurance, and financial services. The role is well-suited to a delivery lead who is comfortable working at the intersection of operations, data, and technology, and who can bring structure and momentum to programmes where execution certainty is critical.
You will work closely with client stakeholders across operations, IT, and senior leadership, helping them move from fragmented, manual processes to more standardised, scalable, and analytics-led operating models. The role requires hands-on leadership of multidisciplinary teams, managing dependencies across, while maintaining a clear focus on outcomes such as speed, quality, and capacity.

About You
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of Agile practices to support collaboration between business and technology teams.
- Excellent understanding of RAID and cross-functional dependency management.
- Capability to design, implement and coach Agile delivery practices from a standing start.
- Deep understanding of the mechanisms and tools (e.g: MS Project, Atlassian suite, Power BI) required to manage successful delivery.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- A naturally collaborative approach to your work, able to bring consensus within challenging stakeholder groups.
- Enthusiasm and comprehensive understanding of the business and modern technological landscape and an ability to translate that knowledge to solve client problems.
- A positive, can-do attitude, strong team ethos and ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Proactive approach to your work, maintaining high-quality standards while embracing innovative approaches to solve complex challenges.
- Experience leading complex data-led and AI transformation programmes in regulated industries (e.g. Financial services, pensions, insurance, asset management).
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in environments where commercial outcomes (ROI, capacity release, cost reduction) are as important as delivery milestones.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience leveraging AI tools to automate business processes and enhance operational efficiency is highly desirable. Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile (CSM, PSM, PSPO, SAFe) are highly desirable.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) and integration processes.
