Business Development Executive

Allume ANZ is looking for a Business Development Executive

Job description

Business Development Executive – UK (Hybrid)

London / Greater London (or surrounding areas)

£30-40k + commission

Allume Energy is revolutionising solar access for flats. We’ve developed a world-first technology that allows a single rooftop solar system to be shared across multiple apartments in the same building.

We’re a fast-growing global clean-tech company expanding our UK team, and we’re looking for a driven, curious, and results-oriented Business Development Executive to help grow our presence across social housing, retrofit, new build, and property development markets.

What you’ll be doing

  • Identify and engage new clients across housing associations, local authorities, contractors, developers, and BTR operators
  • Build and manage a structured sales pipeline using HubSpot CRM
  • Identify decision-makers and run multi-channel outbound BD activity
  • Arrange and support meetings, presentations, and site visits
  • Attend industry events to build relationships and generate leads
  • Prepare initial commercial proposals and hand over qualified opportunities to senior leadership
  • Work closely with the Head of BD / Commercial on strategy, priorities, and approvals and collaborate technical and marketing teams to support delivery

What we’re looking for

  • High energy, curiosity, and resilience
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to go beyond basic expectations when required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical products simply
  • Comfortable working to targets and KPIs in a fast-paced environment
  • Coachable mindset with a genuine desire to learn and grow
  • Professional, transparent, and accountable
  • Comfortable working autonomously while staying aligned with leadership

Experience:

  • 0–3 years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, or a related role
  • Experience is welcome but not essential: attitude and potential matter most

Bonus points

  • Experience in social housing, retrofit, or new build
  • Exposure to B2B or hardware sales
  • Background in renewables, solar, or clean-tech
  • Technical or engineering-related education

What we offer

  • Purpose-driven work with real social and environmental impact
  • Flexible working options
  • Generous leave: 25 days paid leave + public holidays
  • Growth potential: rapid learning and progression in a scaling business
  • Close exposure to senior leadership and real projects

Location: Preferably London-based, but UK-wide candidates considered

Eligibility: Must be authorised to work in the UK

If you’re excited by clean energy, social impact, and building something meaningful early in your career, we’d love to hear from you.
