About the Role
We are looking for a Training Engineer to deliver high-quality technical training and product education to installers, service partners, wholesalers, and internal teams across the UK. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong presentation and communication skills, supporting our growing portfolio of solar inverters, energy storage systems, and EV chargers.
You will play a key role in product adoption, installer capability building, and partner engagement, while acting as a technical ambassador for the company at industry events.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Deliver engaging hands-on installer training, technical workshops, and certification sessions
- Conduct in-person and online training for installers, distributors, service partners, and internal teams
- Support new product launches through structured training programs
Training Content Development
- Develop, update, and localize training materials, including manuals, presentations, and technical guides
- Tailor content for both technical and non-technical audiences
Product & Technical Expertise
- Build in-depth knowledge of company products to confidently explain:
- Installation procedures
- System configuration
- Commissioning and troubleshooting
- Stay up to date with product updates, firmware changes, and industry standards
Events & Industry Engagement
- Support roadshows, wholesaler events, exhibitions, and industry forums
- Deliver professional product demonstrations, presentations, and technical briefings
- Represent the company at trade shows, webinars, and partner events
Sales & Partner Support
- Work closely with the sales team to provide technical clarification during pre-sales activities, when required
- Support key customers and partners by understanding their technical challenges and training needs
Continuous Improvement
- Collect feedback from training sessions to improve content and delivery
- Share common technical issues, installer pain points, and feature requests with R&D and product teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Technical Support, R&D, Product Management, and Sales to ensure training reflects current products and best practices
Professional Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Native English speaker, based in the UK
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, practical, and engaging way
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and comfortable working independently and within a team
- Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally internationally
Preferred / Advantageous
- Electrical background or qualification (e.g. Former electrician or installer)
- Hands-on experience with solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and/or EV chargers
- Experience delivering technical training or workshops
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), especially for training content creation
