MEP BIM Manager | Leading Energy & Services Provider | Manchester or London
Are you an expert in MEP digital delivery looking to lead a team within a global business? My client is seeking an MEP BIM Manager to join either their Manchester or London office. This is a critical leadership role focused on driving the "digital twin" strategy for complex building services projects across the UK.
You will be the technical authority for MEP digital workflows, ensuring mechanical, electrical, and public health systems are fully integrated, coordinated, and optimised for both construction and long-term asset management.
The Role
As the MEP BIM Manager, you will oversee the digital lifecycle of high-value MEP projects, from initial spatial coordination to final COBie data delivery.
- Digital MEP Strategy: Define and implement MEP-specific BIM protocols in line with ISO 19650 to ensure seamless collaboration between mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Coordination Leadership: Lead the clash detection process using Navisworks, ensuring that complex plant rooms and service runs are fully coordinated before fabrication.
- Content & Standards: Maintain and develop the MEP Revit library, ensuring families carry the correct parameters for procurement and facilities management.
- Team Management: Manage a regional team of MEP Coordinators, providing technical support and quality control for all model outputs.
- Innovation: Drive the use of BIM-to-Field technology and automated scheduling to improve on-site productivity.
What My Client is Looking For
- MEP Focus: Extensive experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) design or construction workflows.
- Technical Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of Revit MEP and Navisworks Manage.
- Information Management: Experience delivering COBie data and managing Common Data Environments (CDE) such as BIM 360 or ACC.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to translate complex MEP engineering requirements into efficient digital workflows.
- Experience: Previous experience in a BIM Lead or Management role within an MEP consultancy or specialist contractor.
