Accelerated Materials (AM) is an innovative, seed-stage start-up commercializing a technology platform that bridges the gap between nanomaterial discovery and industrial-scale manufacturing. By combining advanced reaction processes with artificial intelligence and automation, we streamline the pathway of scale-up, reducing the time and cost by up to 90%. With this platform, we provide end-to-end solutions for the advanced materials industry, offering new capabilities and intellectual property in record time.

We are looking for a highly motivated Operations Manager to ensure day-to-day operations are fast, safe and efficient. You will build the systems that accelerate our commercial and technical efforts.


Key Responsibilities

• Drive progress on key accounts by ensuring sales and technical teams are aligned

• Unlock bottlenecks in logistics by proactively organizing procurement and shipping

• Ensure our offices and labs are compliant with local rules and regulations

• Assist in writing, organizing, reviewing and improving standard operating procedures (SOPs)

• Manage basic financial operations (e.g. Procurement, invoicing, burn rate tracking, payments, expense approvals).

• Facilitate critical meetings with stakeholders

• Lead cross-functional work improvement initiatives that don't fall neatly into one department (e.g., setting up a new CRM, organizing an international trade show presence, or leading an office relocation).

• Facilitate talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention.


Skills Required

• You are comfortable with P&Ls, budgets, and grant compliance requirements.

• 2-4 years in Operations, Project Management, or a Chief of Staff role, preferably in a Hardware, Deep Tech, or Manufacturing startup.

• A bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

• You are familiar with the local business ecosystems, including regulatory bodies, trade commissions, major players and funding agencies.

• Proficiency with modern productivity tools

• Familiarity and willingness to improve skillset in:

o ISO standards for operation, in particular ISO 9001

o workplace organization systems, such as 5S

o agile project management methodologies like scrum

o laboratory safety
