Are you passionate about food innovation and hands-on product development? Do you enjoy turning concepts into commercially viable products? Allicio is looking for a proactive New Product Development (NPD) Technician to join our growing innovation team.

About the Role

As an NPD Technician, you’ll play a key role in developing new blended powder products — from nutritional supplements and drink mixes to seasoning blends and functional food powders. Working cross-functionally with R&D, Production, Quality, and Procurement, you’ll support products from early concept through to full-scale manufacture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting formulation and bench-top development of new powder blends
• Running lab-scale trials, sampling, and sensory evaluations
• Assisting with pilot and factory scale-up trials and validation runs
• Recording and maintaining accurate technical documentation and specifications
• Ensuring products meet food safety, regulatory, allergen, and labelling requirements
• Liaising with ingredient suppliers and supporting shelf-life and stability testing
• Contributing ideas for innovation, process improvements, and cost optimisation

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or similar
• 1–3 years’ experience in food manufacturing or R&D (dry/blended powders preferred)
• Strong understanding of GMP, food safety, and formulation principles
• Confident using lab equipment, mixers, scales, and analytical tools
• Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable documenting technical data
• IT-literate (Microsoft 365 & Teams)
• Friendly, proactive, and collaborative with a hands-on, can-do attitude
