Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in PCA assembly processes to support and improve PCB/PCA production within our clients manufacturing environment. The role will focus on process optimisation, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across surface mount and through-hole assembly.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and improve PCA manufacturing processes, including SMT and through-hole assembly
• Interpret, review, and validate PCB/PCA CAD data, drawings, and build packs
• Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput
• Lead and contribute to DFMEA and PFMEA activities
• Support manufacturing aspects of projects, from introduction through to production
• Work closely with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams
• Use ERP systems to support manufacturing planning, reporting, and traceability
• Analyse production data and present findings clearly to stakeholders

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in PCA manufacturing (SMT & through-hole)
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
• Experience working within an ERP system
• Practical experience with DFMEA and PFMEA
• Project management experience within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work confidently on own initiative
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
