Middleweight 3D Designer

TwentyOne Twelve is looking for a Middleweight 3D Designer

Job description

MIDDLEWEIGHT 3D DESIGNER

Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum

Location: East London

Working Type: Studio based

Software: Cinema 4D

Types of Projects: Brand activations, retail environments, campaign work

About the Studio

Our client is a growing East London studio working across brand activations, retail environments, and campaign work. The studio's output is increasing in volume and complexity, and they're now looking to strengthen their in-house 3D capability to support that growth. This is a studio where work goes into the world, not just into pitch decks, and where the right person will have early responsibility, close collaboration with senior creatives, and clear room to grow.

Why This Role Exists

Right now, too much of the day-to-day 3D execution sits with senior creatives, and over-reliance on external visualisers is starting to limit speed, consistency, and creative flow. This hire is about fixing that.

You'll join as a core in-house 3D designer, strengthening internal capability and supporting concept development through high-quality Cinema 4D output. This isn't a pure visualiser role.

It's for someone who understands brand, storytelling, and how 3D supports bigger creative ideas.

About the Role

You'll work closely with senior creatives on larger projects, translating concepts into strong visuals without slowing momentum. Alongside that, you'll be trusted to run smaller projects independently, taking ideas from early concept through to final delivery.

This role suits someone who enjoys variety and pace. You'll need to be comfortable balancing concept thinking with hands-on execution, responding to creative feedback, and adapting as briefs evolve. Strong Cinema 4D skills are essential, but so is the ability to think beyond the render and understand how visuals support brand experience.

What Success Looks Like

In the first few months, you'll be fully embedded in the studio's workflow and creative standards, producing Cinema 4D visuals that align with brand tone and intent.

By six months, you're confidently supporting concept development through 3D, owning smaller projects end to end, and reducing reliance on external visualisers.

By a year in, you're established as a dependable in-house 3D designer, trusted to own execution across a range of work and clearly progressing towards a senior 3D or spatial role.

Requirements

You'll need strong Cinema 4D skills and the confidence to balance concept thinking with hands-on execution. You should be comfortable working at pace, responding to creative feedback, and adapting as briefs evolve. An understanding of brand, storytelling, and how 3D supports wider creative ideas is essential.

This Role Won't Suit Everyone

If you're a junior still learning the basics, this role will feel overwhelming. If you see yourself purely as a visualiser with no interest in concept or brand thinking, it's the wrong fit. And if fast-moving projects and regular creative feedback aren't your thing, this environment will frustrate rather than energise you.

What Makes It Attractive

For the right person, it's the mix. You'll work across activations, retail, and campaigns, with early responsibility, close collaboration with senior creatives, and clear room to grow as the studio scales. Hands-on 3D remains central. Cinema 4D required. Pace stays high. Expectations rise as you do.
